YHRI has released a series of 30 audiovisual public service announcements, one for each of the articles of the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The first of these messages, released in late 2005, have been screened to more than 130 million people.

These videos were created by Taron Lexton when he had just graduated from LA Film School as a gift to his mother - Mary Shuttleworth, International President of YHRI.

The UN Society of Writers granted Taron a special award for his seminal work as film director of the Youth for Human Rights International PSA’s. The United Nations SRC Society of Writers issues an Award of Excellence to distinguished authors whose unique message has inspired peoples from around the world. Past recipients include: Sri Chinmoy, Mikhail S. Gorbachev, Stephen Hawking, Norman Mailer, Arthur Miller, Vanessa Redgrave, Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. and Gloria Steinem
