The Candlelighters of Southern Nevada and the America's Schools Program have teamed up to help preserve the environment and help fund educational programs by recycling printer cartridges and cell phones in your local community. Fifty cents (50%) on every dollars generated by your organization will stay with your organization. An additional twenty eight cents (28%) from that same dollar will go back into your local K-12 public school community. The other 22 cents(22%) goes to run and administrate the program at zero cost to all who actively participate in this now nationwide branded recycling program effort.

This program is in cooperation with the Nevada State School Boards Association..

No-Hassle and No-Cost
The America's Schools Recycling Program is an easy way for businesses, organizations, and individuals to preserve the environment and help educational programs throughout the country.

Did You Know?

Over 300 million cartridges and over 55 million cell phones are thrown away each year.

Each laser toner cartridge recycled saves 3 quarts of oil that is required to produce a new cartridge.

Over 400,000,000 printer cartridges are sold in the U.S. every year and less that 20% of these are recycled.

Every cartridge that is discarded in our landfills takes over 1,000 years to decompose.

Every year inkjet and laser cartridges account for over 200 million pounds of solid waste to our nation's landfills.
