Washington, DC - On the 18th of September Don Baird had a follow up meeting with Cassandra Carmichael, the Director of the Eco-Justice Program for the National Council of Churches in the USA (NCCC) to discuss the launch strategy for the NCCC adoption of the ASP National Schools Recycling Program. The ASP executive staff is truly excited about this wonderful opportunity to partner with NCCC’s 100,000 churches covering over 35 different denominations and over 40 million parishioners nationwide. Big thanks to both Mr. Bob Edgar, the General Secretary and Cassandra Carmichael for taking the time to look at this opportunity in both New York and Washington, DC, that ultimately resulted in this exciting co-venture partnership.

College Partnership & ASP Demonstrate the Power of the Alliance

Denver, CO – The College Partnership, Inc. (CPI, OTC: CGPA) and the America’s Schools Program, Inc. (ASP) enthusiastically renewed their licensing and marketing partnership. The renewable two-year Agreement positions CPI as the exclusive “Official College Planning Company of America’s Schools”. This licensing and marketing agreement, valued in excess of $200,000, will leverage the strengths of ASP’s communication channels and CPI’s product base to provide college planning services to American high-school students while simultaneously generating funds for America’s K-12 schools.

Grace, Co-Founder and Chairman of CPI said, “The America's Schools Team has shown us ways to enhance our marketing platform with innovative ways to broaden our sales and marketing techniques, by leveraging our exclusive "Official Status" around the CPI services. National Council of La Raza joins ASP National Schools Recycling Program

Washington DC - ASP is proud to join hands with the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) to promote recycling and funding of our nation’s schools with the help of the Hispanic community across the United States. The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) was founded in 1968 and serves the needs of all Hispanic subgroups in all regions of the country. NCLR has directly supported community-based groups to establish 50 charter schools across the country and offers technical assistance support to a broader network of 100 charter and alternative schools.
NCLR – the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States – works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans. Through its network of nearly 300 affiliated community-based organizations (CBOs), NCLR reaches millions of Hispanics each year in 41 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. To achieve its mission, NCLR conducts applied research, policy analysis, and advocacy, providing a Latino perspective in five key areas – assets/investments, civil rights/immigration, education, employment and economic status, and health. In addition, it provides capacity-building assistance to its Affiliates who work at the state and local level to advance opportunities for individuals and families.

DC Chamber of Commerce and 16 other Chambers of Commerce join as co-venture partners

Washington DC - While in Washington, DC during the week of the 18th of September Don Baird had an opportunity to visit with Maryann Lesso, the Director of Membership Services for the DC Chamber of Commerce. As a result of that meeting Maryanne gained approval from the executive board to join the ASP National Schools Recycling Program to financially support the DC Chamber “Educational Foundation” and the DC area K-12 schools. The DC Chamber is uniquely situated to take advantage of all the businesses in the DC area as revenue generators, for both the DC Chamber and the DC area schools.
Over the past 3 months, the following Chambers of Commerce have joined as co-venture partners: Mercer, Baxley, Monroeville, Round Lake, Fostoria, Tuskegee, Windsor, Franklin County, Fort Davis, Dundee, Shattuck, Lake Gaston, North Allegheny, Sacramento Hispanic Chamber, Boulder City, and the DC Chamber.

Reno Gazette Journal Newspaper Three Way Co-Venture Partnership, with Nevada State Bank and Wells Fargo Bank retail locations

Reno, NV - In a first of its kind partnership, Nevada State Bank and Wells Fargo Bank have adopted the ASP-Nevada Schools Recycling Program in Northern Nevada to help fund the Reno Gazette Journal Newspaper’s “Literacy in Educational Program” and northern Nevada schools. Under this three-way partnership ASP will be providing 50% of all recycling dollars generated by the retail branch locations in the North.
All three partners have agreed to participate in a northern Nevada media campaign, that will have the newspaper's publisher and the two bank CEOs in a number of radio and television commercials that will be used to alert the general public to drop-off their used cell-phones and printer cartridges at any retail/branch location in Northern Nevada.Thank you Nevada State Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, Nevada!

Washington DC - Jim and Kaye Conley,met with Don Baird on Capital Hill in Washington DC, at an awards dinner hosted by Ann Archer, who served as master of ceremonies for the awards dinner event in support of Human Rights and their organization - the International Foundation for Human Rights. The three Aussies enjoyed the opportunity to support this note worthy cause and those who are making a difference on human rights around the world. Recently re-united, Don and Jim are life long friends who went to High School together in Melbourne, Australia.

ASP and Nevada Parent Teachers Association – look to create new funding source for Nevada’s K-12 schools

Las Vegas, NV - In late September, Randy Robison, Executive Director of the Nevada Association of Schools Boards, and Lenny DeForge of the Nevada PTA met with Don Baird to discuss the potential revenue opportunities that could be developed for Nevada’s K-12 schools through a co-venture partnership between ASP and the Nevada PTA.
As a result of that meeting and a previous meeting with Robin Munier, the President of the Nevada PTA, ASP is now scheduled to meet with the Nevada PTA Board of Directors at their upcoming State Conference in Las Vegas, on the 20th-23rd of October.
