The Nevada Hospitality Foundation and the America's Schools Program have teamed up to help preserve the environment and fund educational programs by recycling printer cartridges and cell phones. 50% of all proceeds go to support its educational programs and its membership. The other 50% goes to the America's Schools Program to support K-12 schools within the state.

This program is in partnership with and under the auspicies of the State School Boards Associations throughout the country.

Over 300 million cartridges and over 55 million cell phones are thrown away each year.

Each laser toner cartridge recycled saves 3 quarts of oil that is required to produce a new cartridge.

Over 400,000,000 printer cartridges are sold in the U.S. every year and less that 20% of these are recycled.

Every cartridge that is discarded in our landfills takes over 1,000 years to decompose.

Every year inkjet and laser cartridges account for over 200 million pounds of solid waste to our nation's landfills.
