How does our organizations participation help benefit K-12 Schools and Hospitality Educational programs? Every time the America's Schools Recycle Program receives a box of cartridges, toners and cell phones 50% of the revenue generated goes to ASP for K-12 Schools in the State in which it is recycled and the other 50% goes to the Hospitality Education Foundation that the participant is a member of.
Is this program available nationwide? Yes!
Are there any costs charged to our organization for participating in this program? This program is absolutely FREE and no cost to its participants or Hospitality Associations. We never charge you for anything, including the collection bins, posters or shipping costs.
I want to participate, what do I do first? Complete the registration form online or mail in the tear card off of your States recycle brochure and we will mail you the collection materials and starter kit.
What ink jet cartridges, laser toners and cell phones do you accept? We accept all cartridges, toners and cell phones for recycling. Please click on the qualified cartridges, toners and cell phone link for a complete updated listing of all that qualify for revenue purposes. If you do not see your brand, model or type you can still be guaranteed that these items will be recycled in a proper manner.
Do you offer additional collection materials? We offer the following materials at no charge - collection b oxes that can hold up to 200 cartridges and or a variety of cartridges, toners and cell phones. In your initial starter kit you will receive pr ogram literature a recycle poster and door decal

We are anxious to start recycling. How long does it take to receive the starter kit and collection materials ? You can begin your recycling efforts immediately. However, your collection materials and starter kit takes approximately two weeks to arrive.
What do you do with the cartridges that are collected? Cartridges are cleaned, refilled and repackaged. Once completed, they are sold back to office supply resellers & distributors nationwide.
How are the cartridges inspected and what happens to damaged items or items that can not be recycled? Our facilities record and conduct an initial inspection of each cartridge, toner and cell phone received. If the product is damaged or not able to be recycled for proceeds then it is still recycled in a proper manner but it can not help to generate revenue for K-12 and Hospitality Education programs
What do we do with the collection bins after they are full? When the containers are full, simply print out a packing list from our website and insert into the collection bin, seal them and contact FedEx, for a pick-up. Postage is prepaid on each container. When we receive your containers with the used cartridges, toners and cell phones, we scan the packing list and record your return. At the end of each month, we create a status report specific to your organization s listing the number of qualified cartridges , toners and cell phones you've sent have back for recycling.
Can we ship the collection bins if they are not full? You can request a pickup from FedEx anytime. We would request that you only ship full collection recycle boxes to prevent damage in transit
How do we order replacement collection bins? When you receive your initial starter kit you are sent two recycle boxes, a poster and door decal. One box is sent to begin recycling and one box is your back up for when you send the first filled recycle box by FedEx. By sending you two boxes to start you should always have one back up box to fill. We always ship a replacement collection box every time you send us a filled box. In the event that you need multiple collection bins and or starter kits, we would request you give us a call or send us an email
